| Well I'll see if adding more frames will make it smoother, even though it sems fine to me. Well I can see where you're going, but Fox's head and body bob up and down too. I'm trying to match the style of the Starfox characters in SSF2. BTW, I tried to preform Krystal's idle in real life by postioning my body and move a bit. The bobing up and down happens to me without me "having to act" but the results are the same except for the speed, it happened more slowly. I tried to preform Fox's idle, but once again, the result shows that the speed is slow(slightly faster than Krystal, I admit). This would conclude that Krystal and Fox are hastey characters, so I would have to say that the idle animation is correct. | |

| If it were just the one moveset, I think decloning her as much as possible would be the way to go. However, since her down special gives her an entirely new uncloned moveset, I think half of her being a semi-clone is ok. (I guess that makes her a quarter-clone, which in my opinion is decloned enough). | |

| Cuccio@ I would, but I want to know people's feelings about this expansion. saying just "yes" could mean anything, "THIS IS EPIC!!!" or "Meh, it's okay." Using this poll will make the votes more accurate and I would be able to sense the popularity of this expansion that may motivate me. Brikwarrior@ Well I would too, but because Fox and Falco are clones, making an entire decloned moveset will make Krystal a bit too unique and strange. After all, they all are the members of Star Fox and I want Krystal to look like "a member of the Star Fox team.* Playing with an entire new moveset will make players forget who she is, a member of Star Fox. I want her to have the same moveset style (excluding the cloning part) so that she can be compared to Fox and Falco and not Captain Falco, Mario, or Zero Suit Samus. With her moveset as it is, she is unique compared to Fox and Falco. Do you understand?*UPDATES* I have completed Krystal's up special. What do you think? Is this move a clone of Zero Suit Samus's flip jump?I may fix the flipping thing, but do you have any comments about it right now? Here's the history behind Krystal's Evasive Flip. - Spoiler:
Arwings are able to preform tricks called sumersaults in Starfox 64. They are mainly used to get behind enemies that are pursuing them and counterattack by firing at them. This also happened in Starfox: Command (watch video from 5:12 to 5:15).The same could be preformed in Starfox: Assault except it's called a "loop." (watch video from 2:21 to 2:25). Note the motion of the trick. In SSF2, Krystal prefoms the Evasive Flip. The main purpose of this move is to get behind enemies by preforming a backflip, like the sumersalt. However she have the ability to get behind her enemies that are in front of her, which was not possible in any of the Starfox games. In Starfox 64, Arwings are capible of preforming a spinning move called the barrel roll (watch video from 2:24 to 2:29). This was used to deflect enemy fire. The same could be preformed in Starfox Command except that it could be used continusly with free movement (watch video from 7:13 to 7:32). You can do the same in Starfox: Assualt except that because of it's movement, it is mainly used for dodging than deflecting fire (watch video from 4:43 to 4:54). Note it's movement. In SSF2, Krystal's up special is able to reflect projectiles like the barrel roll in Starfox: Assualt and Command, but only when she thrust her knees before she flips forward. Evasive Flip also resembles to the roll from Starfox: Assualt as she flips in the air. She is also moving left or right on the screen like the roll as well.
27. Up Special- Recovery (in air)- *NOTE TO PROGRAMERS* She jumps in a 60 degree angle and when she flips, it's like she's preforming the frontflip animation Beginning (on ground)- Defult Backflip (up, down, back, or no imput) Example- Frontflip (forward imput)- Example- *NOTE TO PROGRAMMERS* While she is flipping on the ground, it counts as an air dodge which means she cannot recieve damge or knockback while flipping in the air during a frontflip or a backflip. Up special- Evadsive Flip- If on the ground, she will preform a backflip to get in back of her oppenents behind her. The player may press any direction in the arrow keys and jump flip forward, or backflip (up, down, back imput) to jump backwards. She could reflect projectiles when the projectile hits her knee that's thrusting while she preforms her front flip. If used in the air, she will preform a flip upward.

I have considered Cloudrunner before as an FS. Krystal has riden on a Cloudrunner and using that as an FS may be no different than Prince Tricky. However, Cloudrunner have only appeared in one scene ridden. There were other Cloudrunners, but they were never ridden on or used. Prince Tricky has a bigger role in Starfox Adventures, he used several moves to solve puzzles and obsticals, people knows and cares about him more, and he also appeared in Starfox Advenutures instead of a Cloudrunner. Do you understand? - HyperSonic92 wrote:

Yeah, I knew there was something wrong. I'll fix it later. You don't think this is a clone to Zero Suit Samus's Flip Jump?

Yeah, I knew there was something wrong. I'll fix it later. You don't think this is a clone to Zero Suit Samus's Flip Jump? Well, maybe a little bit, but flip jump is Zero suite Samus' down special, while this would be Krystal's up special. I'm assuming Krystal's would offer better recovery, seeing as it's her main recovery move and not just an extra jump like Zero suite Samus has.

So if this wasn't an up special, you would consider this a clone right?

Nice, but the current sprite is closer to the style of Fox and Falco, her face doesn't resemble Krystal as much, and the colors on her wrist and leg are in correct (she never had wore boots or wrist that was sliver). But let's have a quick poll. ______________________________________________________________ *Quick Poll*Who's Krystal sprite should we use? A) Caboose's sprite B) Kiki's sprite (current version) C) The sprite you intoduce (post it here please)

That's cause Brawl's Falco and Fox have costumes that are a blend of Star Fox Command and Assault, but yeah I agree with the face. The sprites are JUS so it's the same style.

| In regards to the sprite, I'm not sure. I think a combination of the two would be best. - Spoiler:
And what on earth is Krystal doing fighting in high heal boots anyway? Just kidding.
As for the up special, it seems as if yours has slightly more maneuverability, but without the kick option that Zero suit Samus has. So I don't think it's a direct clone.

| Caby's is just all around better. Also, why doesn't your sprite have the staff if the preview does? Oh, yeah, it's spelled "evasive" not "evadsive" and it could be a lot better. | |

| Yeah, I noticed it could be fixed. Are you talking about the idea of the special, the animation, or both? If so, how can it be better. She does have the staff, it's right on her back. Do you notice a blue energy stick behind her? So I'll take it that you want both Caby's sprite and her Command face.
I guess I needed this sprite change, the Krystal expansion is looking bad so far.

| Look at the left corner of Krystal's shoulder. You'll see a blue thing in black outlines sticking out. That's her staff. Yes, I know the animation could be better. I even admitted that I'll fix it soon. I just need to use a JUS sprite backflipping and frontflipping and it may be better. Do you know anything I could use as a refrence? I'm usually terrible with this kind of stuff, sprite flipping. I'm also terrible at idles, walks, runs, and sprite rotations. | |

| you better add more shading into the head, and put the edges of her tail black as the rest of the animation and mostly, have her head aiming at other directions, she looks all like: smile to the cam, uh oh attack but try to look good, that's not what we want, is it?
and i think you should've kept in smithy's sprite, that sprite is just...
do your thing. | |
