| Looking good. Are you also planning on making low, mid, and high charged animations for all the other angles? | |

| Uh, no. I'm not going to do that if I don't have too. - <Na>Suliboy wrote:

You can't just have an expansion exactly how you want it. You're making it already way too complicated. You can probably only have a 0, 30, 45, 60, and 90 degree tether, because any between angles would probably get too complex in the mechanics... So do I have to make an animation of the Grapple hook flying in an 0, 30, 60, and 90 degree angle? You can just have the thrown hook, and ask for it to be rotated in those 5 degrees in flash.

| Yeah, it's a more realistic throwing animation. It might just be me, but I think the arm could use another in between frame before it gets to the last position. It kind of seems like it drops really fast. That's just a nit picky thing though, it looks great. | |

| You mean when she is about to throw the grapplehook. Yeah, I see it too. I'm too lazy to fix it at the moment though.
Off topic: I see that you like Knuckle Joe. Well I'm going to make sure he's in SSF2. I made up a poll called "Who should I dedicate more time to?" and so far, he's in 3rd place. If you wish, search for it in Expansion Discussion and vote in the poll. You can also vote him twice by posting your vote (which I call "Verbal voting"). But of course, I'm just assuming you like Knuckle Joe because of your signature.

| Simple. Crouch and press B. | |

| But, doesn't crouching and pressing B activate down special? And just out of curiosity, why do you have Toon Link and SSF2 Link bomb throwing motions? Off topic: - Spoiler:
Yes, I do like Knuckle Joe. Mostly from seeing him in the anime, since I've only played Kirby's Adventure and a bit of Kirby 64. I have voted in your poll both here and on the old beginner's forum, and I've been excited to see that he rivals Midna and Wolf Link in terms of popularity. (If I remember correctly, he even passed them on the old forum didn't he)? I'm glad to see that someone is making him for SSF2.
By the way, do you have Knuckle Joe's moveset planned? If so, would it be possible to see it?

| That's why I told programmers to program it different, to make crouching + B activate the dropping of the bomb instead of down special. Off topic: - Spoiler:
Well it seems that Minda and Wolf Link is winning while Krystal is in second place. You may want to help Knuckle Joe though. Ironicly, back at the old forums, the ones who are winning are unimporatant to their own series. Knuckle Joe appears as a common enemy (not a boss) and is given the rank of waddle dees and waddle doos. However he appears in more than one game and is more popular them, however his importance is no match for Meta Knight and King DeDeDe. Minda and Wolf Link is one of the main characters of Twilight Princess, but not the entire Zelda series.
So tell me, why is Knuckle Joe is so popular and requested into SSB4. Why should he be in SSB4?

Then how do you activate the Down Special becouse you first have to crouch to do it so I suggest to get rid of the crouching Nutruel special. Also why do you have extra animations for Toon Link and Link why don't you just make it like a normal item?

| Because there won't be an animation of him holding it above his head. All the Links in Zelda carry it like that and I want to make sure he can do that in SSF2 too.
And no, that's not how it works. It's like saying that you can activate an up special by jumping first and pressing B or run and press A to activate a smash attack. To activate down special, you have to press down and B at the same time.

| Click on the spoiler if you want to learn the history behind Tetra's Grappling Hook. - Spoiler:
The Grappling Hook was first introduced in Wind Waker when Toon Link recieved it from Medli on Dragon Roost Island. (Watch video from 9:55 to 10:10). The original purpose for it was to be thrown at poles and have Toon Link swing from it to reach far areas (Watch video from 0:13 to 0:29). It can reach poles from far away and able to grab them successfully. It was proven in a boss battle against Gohma. (Watch video from 1:01 to 1:11). Also, the same thing happens in Phantom of Hourglass (Watch video from 8:05 to 8:13). It could also damage opponents by it being thrown into an unarmed opponent. Also in Phantom of Hourglass, Toon Link twirls his rope upward before throwing it (Watch video from 4:55 to 4:57). This always happens since not even one with good reflexes could have Toon Link throw the grappling hook without twirling it at least once. Waker, Toon Link can use the Grappling Hook while engaging an enemy (Watch video from 0:24 to 0:38). Note that Toon Link spins the hook in his left hand while holding a bundle of rope in his right. Once used, he could steal an item from his enemies (although it wasn't it's original purpose). In SSF2, this was used as an up special. Tetra holds the Grappling hook. It still serves his purpose, it could steal items from enemies and instead of grappling to poles, it grapples to ledges. The Grappling Hook is able to damage her opponents, but in an indirect way (since Tetra is the one who damages them with its help). Since the Grappling Hook is used to transfer from one place to another in Wind Waker and Phantom of Hourglass, Tetra could use it on her oppenents and still is able to use it again, as if she's swinging from a pole. She, like Toon Link, twirls her hook while holding a bundle of rope while charging. By charging it up, she is able to throw it far like in Toon Link's battle against Gohma. The Grappling Hook is also used as Tetra's grab. She twirls it at least once before she throws it like Toon Linkin Phantom of Hourglass.

| Ah, so other characters can pick up Tetra's bombs. You're just providing animations for the Links because you want their animations to be accurate. Off topic: - Spoiler:
To explain why Knuckle Joe is awesome, watch this from 4:40 to 6:06 and this from 1:59 to 3:26. Who wouldn't want to play as him in a Smash Bros. game?

| *UPDATES* I have created a damage and knockback stats in the front post. It will tell programmers how much damge and knockback each damage does. You don't have to add this, but I would like my Tera in a certain way. Check the front post to see the damage and knockback stats.
What do you think? | |

| Sweet, that looks way better. I'm kind of wondering if it would be better to have her arm drop sooner in the animation. I'm not sure though. | |
